Fun fact – The projects that we use for the session are real projects from our college times!
ABOUT THIS TALK!
Designing an Architectural Portfolio is an essential task that all of us in Architecture must go through a million times, but making it can be a daunting task!
How many pages should it be? Can it be black and white? How many drawings should I add? Bleed lines, what are they? What should I do for the cover?
This interactive session, where we make a portfolio in front of you LIVE! answers all these questions and more.
The session concludes with a Q&A session where we answer all your queries about portfolios (everything apart from giving you a list of offices!)
What you will learn
How do I write about my projects?
Write about your projects by highlighting the key design concepts, challenges, and solutions.
How to brand my portfolio?
Through an interactive exercise, you'll learn to create new drawings, infographics, and abstractions that support your original design while branding your portfolio as a cohesive document.
How do I tell a story through portfolio?
Tell a story with your portfolio by organizing your projects in a logical, engaging sequence.
How dense should my portfolio be?
The exercise teaches you storyboarding for different formats, sizes, and orientations, emphasizing the importance of white spaces, bleed lines, and readability.
How do I make an interesting cover page?
Get tips to make your cover page an interesting graphical exercise. Learn how to use bold images, engaging typography, and thoughtful layouts to create a compelling introduction to your portfolio.
How do I present my design?
Learn to incorporate new graphics and visuals that enhance your design without altering its core elements.
